They are adjustable through a large range, and solidly built. They have not been out in the elements long enough to comment on their durability, but if their construction is any indication, they'll hold up just fine. Although we are using these for flagpoles right now, I could see any number of other uses where you want a 1" pole attached to a wall. I would even consider using them to put up a temporary handrail, they're that sturdy. ...more

Of course he waited until 2 days before Christmas to tell me that he didn't want to give this bike. So, never even took out of the box.
